Meet Mr. D…

I also call him Mr. Man.  Don’t let his smallness fool you.  For a baby that was a week old he knew what he wanted and he had to have it now.  Once he had his milk breaks he was all mine.

Mommy wanted some black and white photos.  I love the feeling that black and white photos give.

Mine on Monday…

Posted on February 22, 2010

Five days a week and sometimes six, I homeschool my oldest daughter.  Usually my little will sit and join in.  Not this day.  She decided she wanted to be on her own.  While reading a story with my oldest daughter beside me, I saw something strange at the corner of my eye.  What was it?   Well, my friendly black box is never far so…. mmmm I’ll let you see for yourself.

I finally got to test out my macro lens.  I asked for a volunteer and of course my son left the room rather quickly and I know my little one would not stay.  My volunteer was?  You guessed it!!

First, she had to fix her hair, then she had to give me a pose.  All this followed by “let me see what the picture looks like”.  When I explained to her that I wanted to take a few shots of her eyes, she opened them as wide as she could.  I had to laugh, since she couldn’t hold them open after all.  She blinked 50 million blinks per second (okay a bit of an exaggeration).  We finally got on the same page a few minutes later. I think I have the perfect “eye” model!!

My Valentine Baby’s Birthday Hoorah!

Posted on February 18, 2010

We’re BACCCKKK!!!  Yes, the children had a blast.  Arcade, kart racing and laser tag was more of a hit than I thought it would be.

The air hockey and foosball table was the place to be!!

Then the real fun began… These go-karts actually had breaks and gas pedals.  I wondered how the children would do.

Some tested the waters at first by going really slow while others pushed on the gas pedal with all their might to gain speed.  That’s my almost pre-teen in the #84 Kart.

Laser tag was next.  Boy did the kids enjoy it!  If I didn’t have my youngest tied to my back, I would have joined in on the fun.

Little sister wasn’t quite elated when she figured out it was her brother and his friends birthday party.  She just KNEW we were celebrating her birthday as well.  Next month is YOUR month baby.

Do you see what I mean?  She came to “help” her brother blow out the candles.  She’ll be 4 next month and is very much in party planning mode.  From the invites, to the location, decor and even her cake.  I’m surprised she didn’t ask me what she’s going to wear that day yet.

These two young men are in the same class and were born on the same day – Valentine’s Day.  What are the odds?  It was so cool to have them celebrate together.

Four week old Baby L!!

You had a quick glimpse of the baby L yesterday.  Well here is her full debut.  Her lips are so nice and rosy!  I’m sure daddy and mommy must get lots of comments about her cute little cheeks.
