Check out Mr. C!!  He is turning the BIG 01 in a few days.  I’m so glad we FINALLY were able to have this session.  Our journey for this session was an adventurous one. Mother nature was so not on our side.  On this day the forecast said to expect rain around 4:00 pm.  Mom and I were determined to make this happen and met around 8:45am.  The morning sun was gorgeous.  It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold.  It was just right for Mr. C!  Not one tear was shed.  He enjoyed every moment and I’m elated to have captured them.

Meet Mr. C…

After gymnastics today my scout assistant and I drove around and found these cool spots.  I asked her to if she’d oblige me by taking a photo.  Her response?  Well, you can see for yourself…
Doesn’t she look quite enthused to take the picture?  She was quite concerned about the icky feeling the abandoned building gave her.  She so does not like dirt.

Both photo’s were taken with my Palm Pre.  Did I mention how I LOVE my Pre?

Isn’t this spot cute?  I must find out who owns it.

23 days old Mr. N.  Yes, this little dude is a bit over 3 weeks old and a bit older than most of my newborns but he’s sweet as ever.  He makes the cutest grunting sounds.  You should see how alert he is.  He even knows when he’s not in mom’s arms.  Talk about super smart…at just 3 weeks!!

On the day of the session, he knew what he wanted and it wasn’t to have a photo session.  He made his point quite clear to mom and I.  Luckily for me, he did give an allowance for some shots here and there.  Thank you Mr. N, Mom and Dad!!  Here’s to you…be back soon for a few more!!

We worked on a Canned Book Report.  I have never done a canned book report before so this assignment was really fun!!  Not only did my 3rd grade mister have to write a summary of My Life as a Human Hairball but he also had to make a bookmark, an illustration,  and a stick puppet of the main character.

Here are all the items that went into the can above.  The illustration shows how Wally and his friend Wall Street were miniaturized and traveled through the blood vessels in their friends body.  The stick puppet is of Wally McDoogle.  His facial expression is from when was sneezed out of his friends body.

To top it all off, the Canned Book Report had to be presented in class.  The presentation was a minimum of 5 minutes.   A summary of the book was shared with the class and either recommended to others or not. The students also had to ask 3 questions they had while reading the book (kinda like annotating) and write the questions on note cards.  After they read the book they shared the questions and answer to their question with the class.  I really loved that aspect as it helps the student think critically.

I HIGHLY recommend Bill Myers My Life as… series.  Great Christian books for children in grade school!!
